Property Fraud & Forgery

Discovering that your property has been sold by someone else, or that a deed carries a forged signature, is alarming. Speed matters. NyayGo helps you gather the records and coordinates an independent enrolled advocate for both the civil and criminal sides.

Where these disputes are decided

Property fraud usually has two tracks. On the criminal side, a complaint to the police — including the Economic Offences Wing for larger frauds — can lead to an FIR for cheating and forgery. On the civil side, a court can declare a forged or fraudulent document void, order its cancellation and grant an injunction to stop further transfers.

FAQ

Common questions

Someone sold my property using forged papers. What should I do first?

Get certified copies of the registered document, file a police complaint, and get advice on a civil suit for cancellation and an injunction to stop further sales. Acting quickly limits the damage.

Does registration protect a buyer who bought from a fraudster?

A person cannot usually pass better title than they have, so a forged transfer can be challenged even after registration. The outcome depends on the facts and the evidence.

Can NyayGo guarantee the result?

No. Outcomes depend on the facts, the evidence and the law, and no one can lawfully guarantee a result. The advocate on your matter will explain the options and the risks.

Suspect property fraud?
